Europe Is Falling to Islam. Will America?

“Within five years,” said former French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb, “the situation could become irreversible.”

He was referring to the rising tide of violence resulting from Muslim immigration. His comment was from an interview that took place almost two years ago. If Collomb’s calculations are correct, France only has a few years “to avoid the worst.”

Significant social change usually takes place over the course of many decades, but sometimes gradual trends enter into an acceleration phase, and massive social transformations take place in a matter of years. A few years ago, who would have imagined that the demands of the transgender “community” would become the determining factor in the decisions of school boards, corporate boards, and athletic associations? Who would have thought that the “right” of boys to enter the girls’ locker room, or the “right” of drag queens to conduct story hours in public libraries, would someday outweigh all other considerations? Yet, here we are.

Thus far, the Islamization of several major European states has been a gradual process. But there are signs that this trend is now set to accelerate. After a 9/11-style plot was recently foiled by French intelligence services, the new Interior Minister, Christophe Castaner, revealed that 60 such attacks had been foiled since 2013.

Meanwhile, 235,000 complaints for rape or attempted rape were filed in 2018; this was 62,000 more than in 2016, and an astonishing 225,000 more than in 2005. In 2018, there were also more than a thousand anti-Christian attacks (mostly, the desecration of churches), and 541 anti-Semitic acts—up 64 percent from 2017, and a shocking statistic when one considers that Jews make up less than one percent of the French population.

By God's providence, even as Europe collapses before the onslaught of Islam, we are given an inspiring example of a believing Christian, in this case a French lieutenant-colonel gendarme who was also a practicing Catholic, who faithfully witnessed to his faith in Jesus Christ, even unto death. 

New Martyr Arnaud Beltrame shines especially through his self-sacrificial act of love, volunteering to take the place of a hostage being held by the murderous Muslim, laying down his life for another, adding Christian martyrdom to valiant heroism for his country.

“Pope Francis condemns more ‘blind violence’ after Nice attack,” reads a headline from a Catholic news agency.

On behalf of the Holy Father, Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, sent a telegram to the Bishop of Nice expressing the Pope’s sorrow:

As France was celebrating her national holiday, the country was again struck by blind violence, this time in Nice, claiming many victims, including children. Once again condemning such acts, His Holiness Pope Francis expresses his profound sadness and his spiritual closeness to the French people.

With all due respect to the Pope and his Vatican advisers, it is they who are blind. They have shut their eyes to the role that Islam plays in motivating terrorist attacks like the one in Nice that left 84 dead and over 200 injured.

Catholic Priest beheaded in France during Mass by Muslims linked to Islamic State

We are deep into a New Age of Christian Martyrdom under the Sword of Islam. How will we respond? 

My first reaction to this story, after the initial horror and shock, was to imagine it in a personal context.

My dear friend, Fr Thomas, an Orthodox Christian priest in Pennsylvania, recently concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with his beloved uncle, Fr. Igor, at the latter's home parish. Fr. Igor is 91 years old, and has been faithfully serving his parish for 58 years, the Church for much longer.

Pick the most venerable and faithful priest you know, and imagine he is the martyr, beheaded by a Muslim for his faith in Jesus Christ. Imagine Muslims attacking your church during the Divine Liturgy and taking hostages. Imagine them screaming "ALLAHU AKBAR!" and "DAESH!" as they shoot, stab and assault the faithful in your church.

Recall the horrific atrocities Muslims have committed against Christians and people everywhere: Beslan, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Syria, France, Belgium, San Bernardino, Chattanooga, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Moscow, and so on.

Muslim jihad attacks against Christian churches during the divine services can happen anywhere, anytime, including in America and Canada.  God forbid, but they almost certainly will as Islam continues its global advance.

(AINA) -- The shocking terrorist strikes in Paris on the evening of November 13 have caught the attention of the world. While political leaders send expressions of condolence and support to President Hollande and his nation, individuals with friends and family in Paris have been clambering to seek assurances of their safety.

I am a frequent visitor to Paris where I spent time as a student. Some of my student friends were Assyrians who lived in the neighborhood of Sarcelles, where two thirds of France's 16000 Assyrians are resident.

The Assyrian community in France represents the result of two major waves of immigration. The first influx followed the genocide of Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks by the Ottomans during the First World War. This second major wave of arrivals is far more recent, with many fleeing Iraq and Syria over the last decade because of rising persecution by Islamic radical groups. For decades France has been a place of refuge for Assyrians seeking relief from oppression.

Did the Muslim jihadists in Paris choose November 13 for its symbolic value in planning their attacks?

The Historical Significance of November 13th in Islam:

On November 13, 1918 the Allied troops occupied Constantinople, the capital of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire was the Caliphate, the Islamic State of its day.

A little extra background, from the Wikipedia entry, Defeat and Dissolution of the Ottoman Empire:

The Occupation of Constantinople took place in accordance with the Armistice of Mudros [signed on 31 October 1918], ending the Ottoman participation in World War I. The occupation had two stages: the initial occupation took place from 13 November 1918 to 16 March 1920; from 16 March 1920 - Treaty of Sevres. 

1918 saw the first time Constantinople had changed hands since the Ottoman Turks conquered the Byzantine capital in 1453. An Allied military administration was set up early in December 1918. Haghia Sophia was converted back into a cathedral by the Allied administration, and the building was returned temporarily to the Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch.

Now, several additional news reports are revealing that the Paris Jihad Attacks were not only carefully orchestrated in Paris, but across Europe, with cells acting in Germany and the UK:

It seems clear that, whether or not the date was chosen by the jihadis for its link to the Western Allies occupying Constantinople in 1918, it was indeed a carefully planned and executed operation, spanning at least three countries, and marks an ominous turn in Islam's war on the West. 

Paris: 'The Beginning of the End...'

Rod Dreher over at The American Conservative has posted a couple of updates on the Paris Jihad Attacks which convey the ominous sense that the situation has deteriorated in Europe, perhaps irretrievably so:

UPDATE: From a reader in Paris:

This is — in a way — the beginning of the end. More than 100 dead innocent people so far. At the same time, our best special ops troops are being deployed all over Africa. We don’t have enough soldiers and our enemy lives next door. This is war, a new kind of war and we better get ready ASAP. “Hell is empty and all the devils are here”. Thank you for you prayers, this is a combat beyond reason. We won’t go quietly into the night, but we might go at the end.

UPDATE.2: What the state of emergency means, according to French media analysis of the President’s statement:

• Under the countrywide state of emergency, “protection security zones” can be established.
• In the metropolitan Paris region (Ile de France):
• All people “whose activity is dangerous” can be consigned to their homes.
• Entertainment venues and meeting halls can be closed provisionally.
• The forced surrender of weapons and “administrative searches” permitted.
• Border controls reestablished, with mobilization of French Customs with immediate effect.
• Schools and universities in the Paris region to be closed on Saturday.
• School trips on Saturday cancelled.
• A defence council will meet at 9am and 1,500 extra troops have been mobilized

UPDATE.2: Some people on Twitter have their noses out of joint because I tweeted earlier saying that Angela Merkel’s generous refugee policy is going to guarantee much worse than what happened in Paris tonight in Germany. They had the idea that I’m blaming refugees for the Paris attacks. I am confident that refugees had nothing to do with this attack, nor do I expect that genuine refugees would carry out the same in Germany, or anywhere else. Merkel will have accepted over a million refugees by the end of this year, and her government is expecting millions more by 2017...

On Wednesday, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble warned that Germany faced a potentially destructive “avalanche” of refugees, adding that “avalanches can be triggered when a somewhat careless skier heads down the hill, shifting just a little bit of snow.” Many viewed that as an analogy to Merkel’s September decision to welcome thousands of refugees stranded in Hungary.

It’s a different world now. If only a tiny percentage of those refugees are ISIS supporters or agents, Germany — and Europe — faces more of what Paris got tonight.

Muslim Jihadists slaughter at least 118 in Paris music hall, 40 others in separate attacks

This horrific act of war comes immediately on the heels of the Islamic State's newest video, in which it vowed to attack Moscow and "make blood spill like an ocean."

• At least two suicide-bombings combined with shootings at several sites in coordinated attack;
• Muslim attackers shouted "Allahu Akbar" at the concert hall while gunning down victims from a balcony;
• French President Francois Hollande was in attendance at one of the venues attacked; was whisked to safety;

EU Underestimates Number of Westerners Fighting for Jihad

Almost 1,500 French citizens have traveled to Syria to join jihadi groups - putting the number of Europeans fighting in the Middle East at around 6,000.

However this figure, according to Czech European Commissioner for Justice, Věra Jourová, could be a big underestimate.

Věra Jourová told French newspaper Le Figaro that despite official estimates, between 5,000 and 6,000 EU nationals had traveled to Syria, and that number could be "highly undervalued" because of the difficulty of tracking foreign fighters abroad.

And it's Turkey's geographical position and long border it shares with Syria and Iraq that makes the country such a convenient transit point for western foreign fighters crossing the border to join Islamic State extremists.

Sometimes an image — a metaphor — is much more effective at presenting truth than even the most persuasive argument or laying out of facts.  'The Nightmare' is such an image.

Europeans may still have some dim collective memory of the Muslim conquest of the Iberian peninsula (Spain) in the early 8th century, of Islam’s nearly successful colonization of the rest of Western Europe (Gaul, etc.), of centuries of Muslim raids on Italy, of Muslim piracy and dominance in the Mediterranean Sea, of repeated Muslim attempts to invade Europe through the Balkans, and of the eventual fall of Constantinople in 1453, and of Turkish crimes against the Greeks during the 18th and 19th centuries and the Armenian Genocide in the early 20th.

Then there are the great, providential battles and movements which halted, turned back and expelled the Muslim invaders from the West: Charles Martel (“the Hammer”) and his victory in the Battle of Tours (732), the “Reconquista” of Spain, the valiant self-sacrifice of Tsar-Martyr Lazar and the Serbs at the Battle of Kosovo (1389), and the famous defense of Europe against the Ottoman Muslims at the Gates of Vienna in 1683.

Yet today’s Europe seems completely moribund, ignoring both its own history as well as the history of Islamic expansion. 

It is as if Europa and her Sisters (England, America, Canada, Australia, etc.) suffer from a nightmarish sleep paralysis like helpless maidens of old, the Islamic incubus pinning her down and completely sapping her will and strength to resist. 

The British have all but surrendered already, turning a blind eye to Muslim rape gangs preying on thousands of British girls, trampling on freedom of speech by shutting down criticism of Islam, and advancing Sharia courts and Islamic finance systems. The realm which gave us the Magna Carta is behaving as if she may voluntarily raise the black flag of jihad over Buckingham Palace, a final token act of appeasement as the Islamic crocodile gnaws on England’s extremities.

Today in History: The Battle of Tours

October 10, 732 — Western Europe was still Orthodox, part of the "One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church," and it was clearly targeted by the very first Muslim jihadis to be conquered  and subjugated by Islam. The parallels with today's Muslim warriors are shocking — and revealing.

Precisely 100 years after the death of Islam’s prophet Muhammad in 632, his Arab followers, after having conquered thousands of miles of lands from Arabia to Spain, found themselves in Gaul, modern day France, facing a hitherto little known people, the Christian Franks.

There, around October 10-11, in the year 732, one of history’s most decisive battles took place, demarcating the extent of Islam’s western conquests and ensuring the survival of the West.

Prior to this, the Islamic conquerors had for one century been subjugating all peoples and territories standing in their western march—including Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. In 711, the Muslims made their fateful crossing of the straits of Gibraltar, landing on European soil. Upon disembarkation, the leader of the Muslims, Tariq bin Zayid, ordered the Islamic fleet burned, explaining that “We have not come here to return. Either we conquer and establish ourselves here, or we perish.”

This famous Tariq anecdote—often reminisced by modern day jihadis—highlights the jihadi nature of the Umayyad caliphate (661-750), the superpower of its day. Indeed, as most historians have acknowledged, the Umayyad caliphate was the “Jihadi-State” par excellence. Its very existence was coterminous with its conquests.  Its legitimacy as “viceroy” of Allah was based on subjugating lands in the name of Allah.

Once on European ground, the depredations continued unabated. Writes one Arab chronicler regarding the Muslim northern advance past the Pyrenees: “Full of wrath and pride” the Muslims “went through all places like a desolating storm. Prosperity made those warriors insatiable… everything gave way to their scimitars, the robbers of lives.” Even far off English anchorite, the contemporary, the venerable, Bede, wrote, “A plague of Saracens wrought wretched devastation and slaughter upon Gaul.”

Strange anecdotes also find their way in the chroniclers’ accounts during this time. Muslim historian Abd al-Hakem reports that, after landing on an island off Iberia, one of Tariq’s squadrons discovered that the only inhabitants were vinedressers. “They made them prisoners. After that, they took one of the vinedressers, slaughtered him, cut him into pieces, and boiled him, while the rest of the companions looked on.”  This incident resulted in a rumor that Muslims feast on human flesh.  (Nearly 1300 years later, in the year 2013, a Muslim jihadi ate the organs of his slain enemy to surrounding cries of “Allahu Akbar”.)

Research group on the state of Oriental Christians formed in French Parliament

The National Assembly of France has accepted the proposal of “Oriental Christians under threat coordination” (CHREDO) to form a research group the state of Oriental Christians. The initiative was put forward by deputy Valery Pekress and supported by more than 110 parliamentarians of various political views, reports L'observatoire de la Christianophobie, reports Sedmitza.ru. 

The major aim of the research is to give practical resolutions for the most essential problems facing Christians in the Middle East (whose survival is under threat). 

The creation of the research group in the French Parliament was stimulated by the aggravated situation in Syria and Iraq. 

The coordination received support from the Foreign Minister of France Laurent Fabius, who in his letter to the CHREDO president Patrick Karam noted the necessity of forming research groups in the National Assembly and the Senate.

Muslims Disrupting Church Services in Great Britain and France

David Wood sharply comments on recent incidents of Muslims entering churches in Britain and France, disrupting services, and calling the Christians to "turn to Allah." 

What David Wood does not mention is that in traditional Islamic practice when targeting a region or people for conquest, the unbelievers are first invited to turn to Islam. If they do not, then it is permissible for the Muslims to wage jihad against them.

These are not one-off incidents, isolated cases of crackpot Muslims going off their meds. Rather, these are deeply disturbing symptoms of the rapidly rising wave of Islamic supremacism which is inundating Europe and Britain, and showing up in Muslim enclaves in America and Canada like Dearborn MI, Minneapolis, St Louis, Nashville/Murfreesboro, and elsewhere.

Any objections to the spread of Islam are labeled "Islamophobic." Yet it's a simple fact that, as Islam spreads, it becomes more aggressive and confrontational. When Islam dominates an area, non-Muslim groups are ultimately subjugated. Oddly enough, if you oppose the prospect of being subjugated, you are considered a racist and a bigot. 

In Great Britain, Christians at New Life Church are so incredibly intolerant that they objected to a Muslim interrupting their church service and telling them to "turn to Allah."

This is clearly a gesture of supremacism. Imagine the uproar if a Christian had entered a mosque and begun to read from the New Testament and pray Christian prayers. But no one will take any notice of this. Western authorities take Islamic supremacism for granted. They aren’t even aware of the fact that Islam claims all the Biblical prophets, and Jesus as well, as Muslim prophets, and have no knowledge of or interest in the implications of that fact. But those implications will eventually become quite clear to them.

The worshippers present at the scene were dumbfounded. This Sunday morning, 

in a collegiate church full to bursting, a man wearing a djellaba and headgear came to pray. He laid a carpet to the left of the altar, while the Easter mass was underway.

The man, visibly disturbed, read verses from the Koran before writing some lines in Arabic in the parish register. After having caused disruption for the first time during the mass on Palm Sunday one week ago in la Bedugue then in the collegiate church, some worshippers had warned the police.

A team came to ask him to leave the premises, calmly. The deputy commissioner, who had been notified of this disruption to public order, insisted on specifying: “We don’t need to generalise. This inappropriate attitude comes from an individual who is clearly disturbed.”
