Patriarch John X of Antioch: We will never submit to those who transgress against sanctities

AXIOS to His Beatitude for explicitly refusing to "submit." "Islam" means "submission," and those who submit are Muslims. Christians should never submit to Islam or Muslims.

May the Lord continue to bless, strengthen and protect Patriarch John X and his flock!

Patriarch Yazigi: We will never submit to those who transgress against sanctities

Damascus, (SANA) – Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East John X Yazigi affirmed that there will be no submission to those who transgress against sanctities, nor will there be silence over the abduction of bishops, priests and innocent people.

In his Christmas letter issued on Tuesday, Patriarch Yazigi said “we will not be silent over the abduction of our Bishops John Ibrahim and Paul Yazigi… we will stand against those who imprison the voice of our peace, and by that I mean the nuns and orphans of Maaloula.”

“Our roots grow deep in the history and geography of the region… and while we are ambassadors of love and peace, we will not be a punching bag,” he said, asserting that church bells will continue to ring in Syria come what may.

Patriarch Yazigi stressed that loving God and others means that one must not squander unity for personal reasons, saying that God is where tranquility prevails and in the hearts full of love, calling for resolving issues through love and concurrence which is the logic of the Bible.

He prayed for Syrians at home and abroad, praying for tears of the bereaved to be wiped away, the homeless to be consoled, the deceased to have peace, and the abducted to be released, concluding by praying to God to protect Syria, Lebanon, the Middle East and the whole world.
