British Prime Minister loses Syria war vote in Parliament

All the major news outlets tonight are reporting on David Cameron's "stunning defeat," with CBS noting there was "not a lot" of public support for British military involvement in Syria.

With recent polls indicating only 9% of the US approve of military action against Syria, "not a lot" of public support may be quite the understatement on this side of the pond.

So now we come full circle to the wry observation Mark Steyn made some time ago, only now we should relish applying it to David Cameron and Barack Obama, not merely to Assad and the Al Qaeda-linked cannibal jihadist rebels Obama and Cameron have chosen to support:

Gee, it's a shame they can't both lose.
