Twitter bans ex-Muslim for criticizing Islam

Would Twitter ban atheists for attacking Christianity? Not likely. But an ex-Muslim — who is under several death fatwas for leaving Islam — is banned for posting true statements about Islam and Muhammad.

Twitter Declares War on Ex-Muslims

David Wood, Acts17 Apologetics, February 12, 2019:

Jack Dorsey's Twitter recently banned the Apostate Prophet for a tweet that stated indisputable facts about Muhammad, the Quran, and Islam. Should social media platforms be banning ex-Muslims and critics of Islam, who are under Sharia death penalties for apostasy and blasphemy?

Dreher slams "morally disgusting" "Islamized Britain" over UK denying asylum to Asia Bibi

"This morally disgusting outcome is what happens when you allow your country to become Islamized."

Bravo for Rod Dreher for calling this one right. If you haven't been following Asia Bibi's story, get up to speed with these links:

The USA has an opportunity to help this Christian woman whose life and that of her family (and her attorney) are at risk because of Islam, the Koran, and Muhammad.

England has revealed whom it considers its true overlords to be. The black flag of Islam will soon be flying over Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, and the Houses of Parliament. Britain is doomed.

Islamized Britain

by Rod Dreher, The American Conservative, November 10, 2018:

This is a sign of the times:

A Pakistani Christian woman’s appeal to Britain for asylum has been denied because her arrival in the country may stir civil unrest, HuffPost UK has been told.
Asia Bibi, a Christian farm labourer, was released from prison in Pakistan on Wednesday after being acquitted of blasphemy. She had spent eight years on death row after an argument with a group of Muslim women in June 2009.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan overturned Bibi’s 2010 conviction for “insulting the prophet Mohammed” last week, saying the case against her was based on flimsy evidence.
But her acquittal sparked violent protests led by Islamic religious hardliners, and the government has now agreed to try to stop her leaving the country.
On Saturday her lawyer, Saif Mulook, fled Pakistan, saying he feared for his life. Bibi’s husband, Ashiq Masih, has also released a video message saying he too fears for his family’s safety.
“I am requesting the Prime Minister of the UK help us and as far as possible grant us freedom,” he said.
But campaigners working to secure Bibi’s move abroad said the UK government had not offered her asylum, citing security concerns.

Canada on verge of passing alarming anti-‘Islamophobia’ motion

Passage of M-103 in the House of Commons on February 16 "would in effect set Canada on the path to imposing a form of Islamic Sharia blasphemy law on all of Canada."

by Steve Jalsevac, February 9, 2017 (LifeSiteNews)

There is an alrming [sic] government development in favor of Islam north of the U.S. border.

Canadian PM Trudeau participating in Islamic ritual that included Islamic initiation prayers. It is not certain if he actually said the initiation prayers, but he was praying during the initiation prayers in a Surrey, British Columbia mosque

A motion that threatens to later lead to a crushing of some core freedoms of all Canadians, resulting in an Islamist-favoring state next to the U.S., appears poised to overwhelmingly pass the House of Commons. This is happening at a time when the country's prime minister, Justin Trudeau, a firm internationalist, is far more amenable to Islam than any prime minister in the nation's history.

Parliamentary Motion M-103 is designed to advance the goal of adding to Canada’s hate crimes laws the undefined crime of “Islamophobia,” which would protect all Muslims and Islam itself from any criticism related to that religion and its Shariah law. The motion has been proposed by Islamic Member of Parliament Iqra Khalid.

All parties so far have indicated they will unanimously vote for M-103. Its passage in the House of Commons on February 16 would in effect set Canada on the path to imposing a form of Islamic Sharia blasphemy law on all of Canada.

Banner typical of many such signs displayed during numerous hate-filled Islamist demonstrations in Europe where the concentration of Islamist immigrants is greater than in North America - so far.

The federal House of Commons motion would likely lead to extraordinary, historically unprecedented special protections for the tenets of one religion in Canada, Islam, a religion radically different from and, with some exceptions, generally very hostile to Christianity and all other religions as directed by later verses in the Koran.

William Kilpatrick: 'No Exit (from Islam)'

"Why not encourage Muslims to leave Islam? ... Islam is a religion that is held together by force. Western societies profess to be opposed to such constraints on freedom of religion. In other matters, we are quick to say that people should free themselves from such oppression. Yet very few are willing to apply this principle to Islam."

No Exit (from Islam)
by William Kilpatrick, Crisis Magazine, June 29, 2016

The world is abuzz with talk of Brexit—the British vote to leave the European Union. Britain’s reclamation of its independence is now prompting talk that other nations might exit the EU—the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece, Italy, and a dozen more. Over on this side of the Atlantic, the Brexit initiative has renewed discussion about the U.S. exiting the UN.

What you won’t hear about is any discussion of Exslam—exiting Islam. No one seems to want to suggest that it might be a good idea for Muslims to consider leaving Islam. That’s curious because Islam figures prominently in the Brexit decision. It’s no secret that the chief catalyst for Brexit is Muslim immigration. It’s for the same reason that numerous other Europeans want out of the EU. Their countries are being Islamized before their eyes and there seems little they can do about it as long as policies on borders and immigration are set by bureaucrats in Brussels. The move to leave the EU is, in large part, a move to keep Islam out of Europe.

Which prompts a question. Why not encourage Muslims to leave Islam? Islam is not only a major problem for the rest of the world, it is also a major problem for many Muslims. How many? It’s difficult to say because expressing dissatisfaction with Islam is not something that Muslims are free to do. Criticism of Islam or its prophet is a violation of sharia blasphemy laws and is punishable by prison and sometimes death.

Why You Never Question Allah: Islam's Problem with Blasphemy

In the conclusion to this fine article, Joel J. Miller, notes that "theology matters."  Indeed it does, as the real reason for Islamic terrorism is not poverty, lack of educational opportunities, or reaction against Western colonialism, imperialism, capitalism, or whatever, but rather Islam's sense of blasphemy, which is derived from the Koran, Muhammad's life and example, and all schools of Islamic jurisprudence.

Islam divides the world into the dar al-Islam, and the dar al-Harb — the House of Submission to Allah, and the House of War. And Muslims are compelled by the doctrine of Jihad to fight against the unbelievers to spread and advance the House of Islam.

In short, Islam's problem with blasphemy is precisely the World's problem with Islam, and why we are going to see more and worse acts of Islamic terrorism, Jihad, and rivers of blood in the years ahead.

Why You Never Question Allah: Islam's Problem with Blasphemy
by Joel J. Miller, Theology That Sticks, via Pravoslavie, November 23, 2015:

You’d better watch what you say about God if you live in the Middle East or North Africa, where seven in ten governments criminalize blasphemy.

In 2014, Palestinian poet Ashraf Fayadh was convicted of blasphemy by a Saudi Arabian court. Facing four years in prison and 800 lashes, Fayadh appealed the ruling. He was recently retried, and the court upped the ante. He’s now contending with a death sentence for apostasy.

In Egypt, TV personality Islam El-Behery appealed his blasphemy conviction. Though he escaped punishment in one case, the court upheld his five-year prison sentence in another.

The same thing happened to Egyptian author Karam Saber. Last year a court upheld his five-year sentence for penning Where is God?, a book of stories some Muslims deemed offensive.

Honest with God

Theodicy, a regular exercises in Western theology, is essentially banned in Islamic countries like Egypt. Say the wrong thing—be careful, the line is fuzzy—and you’ll pay the price. Egyptian law, according to one report, “gives all Muslims the right to file lawsuits in cases where an exalted right of God has been violated.”

Such cases, often supported by rumor and hearsay, have been on the rise in Egypt since 2011. And the 2015 annual report of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom indicates this punitive defense of God’s honor is a widespread problem in many Muslim nations, a claim for which the report offers plenty of examples.

But let’s venture something here—maybe God can take people’s anger, questioning, and criticism. That’s what Ian Punnett argues in his book How to Pray When You’re Pissed at God, a title that could spark predictable offense in predictable quarters. But why?

Pakistani New Martyrs Shahzad and Shama, killed by a Muslim mob

This is a phenomenon documented during the Muslim Ottoman tyranny as well. Accusations by Muslims against Christians often result in Muslim mobs whipped into a frenzy, and killing the innocent Christians. It is in part an application of Islam's blasphemy laws, and also of the dhimma contract (the Pact of Omar), where any perceived violation by any Christian results in collective punishment by Muslims against the Christian community.

See also: Witnesses for Christ - Orthodox Christian NeoMartyrs of the Ottoman Period, 1437-1860, by Nomikos Michael Vaporis.

Lahore (Agenzia Fides) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan criticized the inaction of the police in front of the lynching of the Christian couple Shahzad and Shama Masih, accused of blasphemy and killed in Kot Radha Kishan, Punjab, on 4 November 2014.

On 24 August, the Court, in a case involving two accused of the lynching, strongly criticized the police for not having intervened to prevent violence and did nothing to protect the two Christian citizens.

Sudanese Pastors accused of 'Offending Islam' boldly face persecution, possible execution

Pastors Yat Michael and David Yein have been imprisoned for two months with no contact with their families in the capital city of Khartoum, where numerous Christian churches have recently been desecrated.

Pravoslavie, June 8, 2015

Persecutions against Christians continue in the Islamic nation of Sudan, which last year sentenced a woman to death for marrying an American Christian. The Christian Post reports that now pastors Yat Michael and David Yein face possible execution for their boldness in preaching their Christian faith.

The two pastors, accused of spying and offending Islamic beliefs, have been imprisoned for two months with no contact with their families in the capital city of Khartoum, where numerous Christian churches have recently been desecrated.

New Martyr Helen the Accountant (†March 15, 2013)

MYSTAGOGY , March 17, 2015

John Sanidopoulos at MYSTAGOGY blog has translated to English from the original Greek an amazing account of a young Russian woman, Helen Machankova, raised in an atheist home in Siberia, who moved to Asia Minor to find work among the Russian emigré community there. She eventually met a man and fell in love. He was a Muslim; they married in a mosque.

Her conscience was wounded when her husband expressed how glad he was that Muslims were killing Christians in Syria, and she began to despise him for his hatred of the innocent Christians. He became violent and abused her. Helen left her husband and went to live with her friend Anna, whom she knew from the Russian Church.

Her heart was softened and warmed by the love shown her by her Russian Orthodox friends, and she was led to Christ by their kindness. Helen attended frequently the Divine Liturgy, and asked her friends to teach her how to pray, and about what happens during the Liturgy.

Helen's faith continued to deepen. She began wearing a pendant her family had given her with an icon of St Seraphim of Sarov. When she happened to encounter her husband in the town, he saw the pendant and asked her if she had changed her religion. She did not deny, but answered yes, and bravely confessed Christ. He began to curse at her, as he had considered her to be a Muslim, since they had married in the mosque.

How to Respond to Islam's Blasphemies against Christianity

"Let’s try to explain to the blasphemers that they are destroying their lives and are a temptation to others."

In our self-indulgent, self-neutered, politically-correct culture, criticizing Islam is a hate crime. Setting aside the documented fact of Muslim persecution of Christians throughout the entire Islamic world, Islam's ideology itself wages relentless theological jihad against traditional Christianity, as it has for fourteen hundred years.

For a right-believing Christian, Islam projects into the world a bizarre mess of heresies and blasphemies, which taken by themselves should stop all the "Same God" nonsense talk. A few excerpts from the Quran prove Islam's virulent anti-Christian nature, which calls down curses on Christians, condemning them to eternal torment, and charging them over and over with blasphemy:

The similitude of Isa before God is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be”: And he was. (Sura 3:59)

Say not “Trinity”: desist: It will be better for you: For God is One God: Glory be to Him: (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. . . . (Sura 4:173)

In blasphemy indeed are those that say that God is Christ the Son of Mary. (Sura 5:19)

They do blaspheme who say: “God is Christ the son of Mary . . .” They do blaspheme who say: God is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them (Sura 5:75,78)

Christ the son of Mary was no more than an Apostle; many were the apostles that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how God doth make His Signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth! (Sura 5:78)

The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the Son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the Unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (Sura 9:30)

In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him — they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him. (Sura 4:157)

Perhaps the most cruel irony regarding Islam's blasphemies against Christianity is that many Islamic countries enforce "blasphemy laws," by which Christians are routinely charged for slandering Islam or Muhammad, offending Muslims, apostasy from Islam, or for just being Christian. The penalties are brutal in the extreme, up to and including death. Islam's death penalty for blasphemy and apostasy is the false religion's main prop, without which, according to one of its leading clerics, it would never have survived to the present day.

How should we Christians respond to Islam's endless blasphemies against God, against Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Mary (whose title, 'Theotokos', means 'Mother of God'), and to Islam's assault against non-Muslims, women, conscience, freedom of speech, and so on?

I consistently write and maintain that we must firmly and vigorously reject Islam, while at the same time praying for our Muslim neighbors and persecutors, that they — in the words of St Silouan of Mt Athos — "may come to know Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit."

In this same spirit, the below article provides some very helpful and godly counsel for us as we continue to press on towards the goal of the upward call in Christ Jesus:

Pakistan: Christian couple sentenced to death for blasphemy for texts they didn’t send

Blasphemy laws in Pakistan wielded like a club against Christians. In effect, in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, under ISIL rule in Syria, and elsewhere in the Islamic world, it is blasphemous to not be Muslim. That is how hollow and fragile Islam is, that even where it dominates it must use terror and the death sentence to prove itself superior. Pure, unmasked evil. Such are the 'nuances' of Islam...

Pakistan: Christian couple sentenced to death for blasphemy for texts they didn’t send
by Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch — April 4, 2014

Here yet again we see how Pakistan’s blasphemy law is used to victimize non-Muslims. It is a human rights abuse of catastrophic proportions, but apparently the global “human rights community” is too busy worrying about “Islamophobia” to take any serious notice. How many more innocent people will have to die before Western Christian leaders decide that speaking out against this persecution of their brethren is worth harming the wonderful “dialogue” they’re enjoying with the local Muslim groups?

BREAKING NEWS: Pakistan Sentences Christian Couple To Death
by Stefan J. Bos for BosNewsLife, April 4:

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (BosNewsLife)– A Pakistani court sentenced an impoverished Christian couple to death for “blasphemy against Islam” on Friday, April 4, just days after another Christian was told he would be executed on similar charges, an advocacy official involved in the case told BosNewsLife.

Attorneys, Rights Groups Blast Death Sentence for Christian in Pakistan

Sawan Masih becomes second Christian on death row for alleged remarks.

This update on this story and this post, provides a thorough background and context on the specifics of Sawan Masih's case, yet another example of how hollow and fragile Islam is, that it has to resort to the death penalty against dissenters to prop itself up.

Couldn't happen here? Think again. President Obama infamously asserted at the UN, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam," and under Obama, the Department of Justice threatens legal action against those who "post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims." Americans are already getting the first taste of Islamic blasphemy laws, from our own government.

Pray for Sawan Masih, get informed, and educate your family and friends.

Attorneys, Rights Groups Blast Death Sentence for Christian in Pakistan
Morning Star News — March 28, 2014

Accusation against Sawan Masih triggered Muslim throng
to attack Joseph Colony, Lahore in March 2013.
(Morning Star News, M. Ali)
LAHORE, Pakistan (Morning Star News) – Rights groups and attorneys slammed the death sentence handed down to a Christian yesterday, saying the case for his blasphemy conviction was weak while Muslims who destroyed houses and shops in his neighborhood have been freed on bail.

Sawan Masih, now the second Christian on death row on blasphemy charges along with Asia Bibi, was sentenced by Lahore Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Ghulam Murtaza at the Kot Lakhpath Jail on Thursday (March 27). His trial took place at the jail due to security concerns. The street sweeper was also fined 200,000 rupees (US$2,027).

Accusations against Masih sparked the destruction of 180 Christian-owned homes and shops in Lahore’s Joseph Colony in March 2013; an anti-terrorism court freed the 133 Muslim suspects in spite of strong video evidence against them.

Pakistani Christian rebukes those who minimize Muslim Persecution of Christians

Plenty of typos and a couple of colorful remarks, but the points are very clearly made.

via Pakistani Christian Rebukes Yahya Snow for Minimizing Muslim Persecution of Christians
by David Wood, Answering Muslims — March 30, 2014

Yahya Snow is quick to condemn us when we speak out on behalf of the Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Ahmadis, or members of other groups who are being horribly oppressed in the name of Allah. Anyone who gets in the way of Islamic domination is, according to Yahya, an enemy of Allah and must be viciously attacked with lies and slander.

Yahya's recent defense of Pakistani blasphemy laws drew a response from a Pakistani Christian, who was kind enough to correct Yahya on some of the issues.

Peace and greetings in MY LORD JESUS CHRIST to all! I would like to address yahya on some misconceptions he have over this whole issue. Let me start by saying that I'm not an arm chair expert sitting on my chair bad mouthing muslims as you mentioned. I'm a Christian living in Pakistan in the same city where this is happening as we speak.
You said something along the lines that people are blowing this out of proportion but let me inform you that the trial of Sawan Masih was held in an undisclosed jail cell for the fear of his life and of the judge and prosecutors (if they do find him not guilty) there was no defense witness because all were threatened of death if anyone stood in defense witness stand. And then sawan masih is found guilty on the charges of blasphemy and not one, let me repeat not ONE of the 3000 muslims who attacked the Christian community of about 5000 people was convicted due the lack of evidence.
You mentioned something along the lines of personal disputes and you couldn't be more right. The dispute was between Sawan and his Muslim"friend" who had a business of selling alcohol (mashallah brother, selling or consuming alcohol is haram in your religion and illegal in my country but that Muslim never got convicted for that either ...why? Lack of evidence Offcoarse) And if you didn't know then let me inform you that 200 Christian houses were burned along with 2 churches and more than 100 Christians were killed all in the name of personal dispute that you so clearly mentioned.

Pakistani Court sentences Christian to death under Islamic Blasphemy Law

Pray for Sawan Masih, under a sentence of death for his faith in Jesus Christ.

Legal persecution follows Muslim mob persecution in March 2013:

"More than 200 houses of Christian inhabitants were set on fire, two churches and dozens of Holy Bibles were also desecrated in the attack by the extremist mob of around 3000. This wanton act of violence was planned after an alleged charge of blasphemy against a Christian man Sawan Masih by a Muslim man..."

via PAKISTAN: A LOWER COURT LAHORE SAWAN MASIH RESIDENT OF JOSEPH COLONY SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR BLASPHEMY
Pravoslavie — March 31, 2014

Reported By: Fr. Joseph (Russian Orthodox Priest outside Russia in Pakistan)

On 27, March 2014; The Additional Session Judge Ghulam Murtaza of Lahore Lower Court sentenced Sawan Masih (Pakistani Christian) to death during a trial in Central Jail Lahore. Sawan Masih was accused of making derogatory remarks against the Prophet of Islam, Hazart Muhammad. The 26 years old Sawan Masih, who is a father of three children, has consistently maintained his innocence during the year-long trial. The most common phenomena in Pakistan, those courts are under high pressure of extremists and they always give death penalty to the victims of blasphemy and the most sufferers are the religious minorities in Pakistan. The lawyer of Sawan Masih declared in the media to appeal the sentence in the Lahore High Court.

Europe to Monitor Citizens 'Intolerant' of Islam

Critics call it an unparalleled threat to free speech. Already in Europe, citizens are prosecuted for 'wrong' opinions about Islam.

by Soeren Kern, The Clarion Project — 10/30/2013

While European leaders are busy expressing public indignation over reports of American espionage operations in the European Union, the European Parliament is quietly considering a proposal that calls for the direct surveillance of any EU citizen suspected of being "intolerant."

Critics say the measure -- which seeks to force the national governments of all 28 EU member states to establish "special administrative units" to monitor any individual or group expressing views that the self-appointed guardians of European multiculturalism deem to be "intolerant" -- represents an unparalleled threat to free speech in a Europe where citizens are already regularly punished for expressing the "wrong" opinions, especially about Islam.

Police, Islamic Extremists in Pakistan Hunt for Christian Accused of ‘Blasphemy’

"Don’t they know that the Koran orders us to slit the throat of whoever is disrespectful to Allah’s beloved prophet?” — Hafiz Abdul Malik of the Islamic extremist group Jamaat ud Dawa.

This is the voice of pure, authentic Islamic culture. Be sure to read through the whole article, as the last third presents numerous examples of Pakistan's brutal blasphemy laws.

Morning Star News — 10/25/2013

The sword undergirds all of Islam.
ISTANBUL (Morning Star News) – Police and a banned Islamic extremist group in Lahore, Pakistan are searching for a young Christian accused of blasphemy – with the extremist group calling for his death – after he sought to correct misconceptions about Christianity in a Muslim book, sources said.

Sources close to Adnan Masih, 26, said he believes that if he turns himself in, he will be killed by either the Islamic extremist Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) or the Pakistani judicial system, which makes blasphemy against Islam’s prophet punishable by death. They said Masih denies having written anything against Islam or its prophet, Muhammad, when he scribbled in a Muslim book he found in a glassworks shop where his brother works.

International Effort by the OIC to Criminize Criticism of Islam

In its latest effort to curb free speech worldwide, the OIC's recent Geneva conference addressed the pressing issue of 'Islamophobia.'

by Deborah Weiss, The Clarion Project — 10/24/2013

Members of the 'Organization of Islamic Cooperation' (OIC).
In its quest to criminalize speech that’s critical of all Islam-related topics, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)* endorsed the formation of a new Advisory Media Committee to address “Islamophobia.”

This past September, the OIC held “The First International Conference on Islamophobia: Law & Media.”  The conference endorsed numerous recommendations which arose from prior workshops on Islamophobia from media, legal and political perspectives.  A main conclusion was the consensus to institutionalize the conference and create an Advisory Media Committee to meet under the newly established OIC Media Forum based in Istanbul Turkey.

Supposedly, the purpose of the conference was to support an OIC campaign to “correct the image of Islam and Muslims in Europe and North America.”  By this, it means to whitewash the intolerant, violent and discriminatory aspects of Islam and Islamists.  The OIC has launched a campaign to provide disinformation to the public, delinking all Islam from these undesirable traits and attacks all who insist on these truths, as bigots, racists and Islamophobes.

The OIC is a 57 member organization consisting of Muslim countries whose long term goal is the worldwide implementation of Sharia law and seemingly the ultimate establishment of a Caliphate.  Its members tend to vote together as a block in the UN, so it is extremely powerful, despite the fact that few people have heard of it.

Its present goal is the international criminalization of all speech that “defames” Islam, which the OIC defines as anything that sheds a negative light on Islam or Muslims, even when it’s true.

Its target is the West and one of its tactics is to accuse those who criticize Islam or its various interpretations as “Islamophobic.”  It is attempting to pass the equivalent of Islamic blasphemy codes in the West, using accusations of bigotry to silence anyone who speaks the truth about Islamic terrorism or Islamic persecution of religious minorities.

Cup of Water Sparks Death Sentence for Pakistani Mother

This is a shocking story, now almost three years on, which reveals the dark and murderous heart and soul of Islam.  Prayers up for Asia Bibi...

Asia Bibi, sentenced to death on trumped-up blasphemy charges in Pakistan, has dictated and published memoirs through her husband.

The Clarion Project — 8/29/2013

On November 8, 2010, a Christian mother of five was sentenced to death by hanging under Pakistan's blasphemy laws.

While languishing in prison for the last four years, Aasiya Noreen, known as Asia Bibi,  wrote her memoirs in a book called Blasphemy, where she tells of her ordeal and her years in prison. The book was dictated to her husband, who was helped in publishing the book by French journalist Anne-Isabelle Tollet.

Situation for Christians Worsens in Sudan

Everything described below is taken straight from the Conditions of Omar and the terms of the Islamic dhimma contract, which exists to terrorize and oppress Christians, so as to demoralize and humiliate them into submitting to Islam.

FOR 2011-2012 170 PEOPLE IN SUDAN ACCUSED OF "APOSTASY"
Pravoslavie.ru — 8/14/2013

The situation of Christians in Sudan has worsened since separation of the South Sudan. The president Omar Al-Bashir has already stated more than once that he wishes to make Sudan "a Muslim state" with no equality of rights for members of other religious communities, reports the Pro Oriente foundation.

According to Sharia law, the death penalty is given denouncing Islam in Sudan, although the country has signed the Universal declaration of human rights. For the last 20 years, no respective sentences have been passed; however, in only 2011 and 2012, about 170 people were accused of "apostasy" and arrested. According to non-governmental organizations that are active in Sudan, the authorities have arranged an intensive search for converts. The search is concentrated mainly in the Nuba mountains, where the separatist movement is strong. Since 2011, the number of closed and confiscated church buildings and other Christian institutions has been increasing. Arrests of Christians take place regularly. In April last year, the government openly declared that there would be no permits for building of Christian churches any more.

Sudan Tracking Down Converts from Islam in Purge of Christianity

Christian flees country after weeks of threats from authorities.

JUBA, South Sudan (Morning Star News) – A Sudanese Christian has fled the country after authorities in Khartoum threatened to kill him for refusing to divulge names of converts from Islam, sources said.

The Christian, a native of Sudan’s Juba Mountains area, left the country last month after officials from the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) forced him to report to their offices nearly every day since raiding his home on Feb. 23.

“His life was at great risk, especially as NISS threatened to kill him if he did not cooperate with them and reveal names of Muslim converts who became Christians in Sudan,” a source told Morning Star News. “He is in hiding in another country.”

The detained Christian, whose name is withheld for security reasons, told Morning Star News that officials, some of them armed, took him to jail on Feb. 23 for interrogation after confiscating his passport and other documents, cell phone, computer, two laptops, iPad and the mobile phones of his brother and sisters.

“They took me to their offices with me in only my sleeping clothes, shorts and a T-shirt,” he said. “And they took me to their officer just like this, and he said to me, ‘If you need your life, just cooperate with us.’”

Pakistan: hundreds accused of taking part in anti-Christian rampage released

Collective punishment of an entire Christian neighborhood, by an entire Muslim neighborhood, because one Christian man is accused of insulting Muhammad.

Pakistan: hundreds accused of taking part in anti-Christian rampage released
Pravmir

Three months after a mob of 3,000 Muslims attacked a Christian neighborhood in Lahore, Pakistan’s second-largest city, few of the perpetrators are in prison.

Hundreds of those detained immediately after the incident were released; of the 83 who were arrested, 31 have been released on bail.

“Most of the people who were stopped after the attack were declared innocent by the police and immediately released, for corruption or political pressure,” said Naeem Shakir, a Christian lawyer.

Meanwhile, the Christian whose arrest on blasphemy charges was the occasion for the rampage has gone on trial. Sawan Masih denies that he insulted Muhammad.
